Leading a Circle of the Word involves learning the story by heart. Most of the stories are short enough to do that in a week. If you don’t know it solidly by the time Circle begins, chances are you will by the time it ends. Occasionally there is a long story that would be difficult to learn in a week. In this case suggestions are made for how to get by with reading it. This workaround is okay, but not as effective as telling.
