Tell the story with pauses for key words. Participants “fill in the blank” (say the word) created by your pause.

A variation on this activity is to leave out the last word of a breath unit (line in the story sound map). This would be an easy activity to lead for a Circlekeeper who has not learned the story by heart. It would also be a way to encourage leadership by a participant who has attended Circle several times and is comfortable reading out loud.
